Who’s eligible to join the Hackathon Fun?

This hackathon is for anyone with a passion for AI, a curiosity to learn, or a game-changing idea waiting to come to life. Whether you’re a college student or a working professional, you’re welcome to join the fun. All you need is enthusiasm, creativity, and the drive to build something awesome. Here’s who can jump in:

  • Students & Professionals: Still in college? Working a 9-to-5? No problem! If you’re eager to explore AI, this is for you.

  • Not a Programmer? No Worries: You can be a designer, UI/UX expert, product manager, or even a business strategist - as long as you’re excited about AI, you belong here. If you’ve ever thought, “AI could totally solve this!” - then this hackathon is your chance to turn that idea into reality.

  • No AI Experience? We Got You: Our workshops, mentors, and hands-on guidance will help you every step of the way. We’ll make sure you never feel lost. See workshop schedule.

  • Join from Anywhere: Whether you’re in New York, New Delhi, or New Zealand, this hackathon is completely remote - so distance is never a barrier.
Eligibility Criteria
Team or Solo?

Go Solo or Team Up.

You can tackle this AI adventure on your own or team up with fellow innovators - it’s completely up to you! If you decide to go solo, you’ll have the freedom to build, experiment, and showcase your AI brilliance all by yourself.

But if you prefer the power of collaboration, assemble a dream team with at least 2 and up to 4 members. Just one important rule - at least one of your teammates must be a woman.

Evaluation Criteria.

  • Problem-Solution fit: Does your project effectively address the problem statement? How well does it align with real-world challenges?

  • AI/ML Implementation: How well does your prototype leverage AI/ML? Is the model well-designed, trained, and optimized for the use case?

  • Technical Feasibility: How robust and scalable is your solution? Is the architecture well-structured? Are best coding and AI development practices followed?

  • User Experience & Design: Is the interface intuitive and user-friendly? How well does the design enhance usability and engagement?

  • Innovation & Creativity: How unique is your approach? Does your solution introduce a fresh perspective or creative use of AI?

  • Real-World Impact & Scalability: Can this prototype be scaled beyond the hackathon? How valuable would it be in a real-world setting?
Eligibility Criteria

  • Presentation & Storytelling: How effectively do you communicate your idea? A great pitch can make all the difference! Submit a video demo of your prototype.

  • X-Factor: The unexpected WOW factor — this is where teams can go beyond expectations! Whether it’s an unexpected AI twist, a fun demo, an interactive showcase, or something that just makes the judges go “Whoa!” — this is your chance to leave a lasting impression.
  • Video demo

    Video demo.

As part of your submission, you’ll need to upload a short video demo showcasing your prototype in action. Here’s what you need to keep in mind:

    • Duration: Keep it under 3 minutes—short, crisp, and impactful.

    • Content: Show what your product does and how it works—make it clear, engaging, and easy to understand.

    • Live Demo of your Prototype: Walk us through a live demo of your prototype rather than just slides. Use screen recordings. Make sure your interface, interactions, and key features are visible. Narrate your demo or add captions to explain key steps and functionality.

    Judges may call.

If the judges need clarifications, a deep dive into your code, or just want to pick your brain on your genius idea, they might request a video call with you or your team. Think of it as your moment to shine—explain your thought process, showcase your AI wizardry, and impress the panel.

If needed, we’ll schedule these calls during the evaluation phase between April 19th - April 25th, 2025.

    Celebrations galore!

    Celebrations!

    APRIL 28th, 2025

Mark your calendars — April 28th, 2025 is the day we unveil the champions of AI innovation. But this isn’t just about the winners — it’s about every single participant who dared to dream, build, and push the boundaries of AI. Whether you walk away with a trophy or with newfound skills, knowledge, and inspiration, समAI will be a celebration of learning, creativity, and the incredible AI journey we would’ve all taken together.

    Questions?

Students, professionals, or anyone from anywhere on the planet (aged between 18 - 118!)— if you’re curious about AI, you’re welcome to join this hackathon.

You can register till the submission date on April 13, 2025. We encourage you to register early on so as to not miss the AMA sessions & workshops which will help you learn while you build.

Absolutely! You can participate as an individual contributor or as a team. If you’re teaming up, make sure your squad has a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members.

If you’re registering as a team, we do need details of all your awesome team members. But don’t worry, we’ve made it super simple. Our registration form is designed so that one person from the team can fill in details for everyone in a single go. That means each member doesn’t have to fill out a separate form — because we know you'd rather be brainstorming AI magic than filling out extra forms.

Go ahead. Register your team now.

Nope! This hackathon is completely free. Your only investment is your logic, creativity, and maybe some caffeine.

There are exciting tech prizes waiting for the winners in each category. But that’s not all — everyone who completes the submission phase gets a Certificate of Participation (and, of course, major bragging rights!). For more details, head over to the Gifts section of the website and get ready to be surprised.

    We’ve got you covered.You can:

No worries at all! Even if your code isn’t wrapped up in a perfect bow by the submission day, send in whatever you’ve got. This hackathon is all about participating, learning, and having fun along the way. Just hit submit, and let’s celebrate your effort.

You can use any programming language you are comfortable with.

We are all for leveraging smart tools to spread love and make life easier. However, remember that your submission should reflect your skills and creativity. Using tools for guidance is fine, but the true magic lies in the code you write yourself.

Also remember, if your code gets selected, the Judges may schedule an online call with you to discuss your source code. As long as you can confidently explain your logic and satisfy their questions, you’re good to go. So, whether you used ChatGPT or not, what truly matters is that you know your stuff, and the Judges see your brilliance.
